Veresto privacy policy
Last updated: 15 May 2026
This is a courtesy translation of the Veresto privacy policy. The Spanish version is the official one and prevails in case of any discrepancy.
Veresto is designed to operate without collecting personal data. Everything the app produces — photographs, text recognized via OCR, tags, notes, settings — is stored exclusively on the user's iPhone and is not sent to any server operated by the developers or by third parties.
Data stored locally
- Images that the user captures with the camera or imports from other apps via the system share sheet.
- Text extracted from those images through optical character recognition (OCR) using Apple's Vision Framework, executed on the device itself.
- Tags, notes, expiry dates, sensitive-capture flags and app preferences.
Data NOT collected
Veresto does not collect advertising identifiers, location, contacts data, health data or usage information. There are no third-party analytics and no tracking SDKs.
System permissions requested by the app
- Camera: required to take photos inside the app. Requested the first time the user opens the camera screen.
- Face ID or Touch ID: requested only if the user enables biometric lock in Settings.
- Photos (add only): requested only when the user chooses to export a specific capture to the system gallery. The app does not read the user's Photos library.
Sync and cloud
Veresto does not sync data with iCloud or with any first-party or third-party service. If the user enables iCloud backup at the operating-system level, iOS may include the app's content in that backup; Veresto plays no part in that process.
In-app purchases
In-app purchases (if any in the future) are handled through Apple StoreKit. Apple handles payment information; Veresto only receives the cryptographic confirmation of the purchase. We have no access to your payment information.
Children
The app is not specifically directed at minors and does not collect personal information from any user.
